0.18% Eye Drop is a lubricant. It is used in the treatment of dry eyes. It moistens the eyes and provides relief from discomfort and temporary burning. It also helps in treating corneal burns by forming a soothing layer that reduces irritation and protects the damaged cornea.

0.18% Eye Drop is usually instilled whenever needed. Take the dosage as advised by your doctor. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering any other medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Do not use a bottle if the seal is broken before you open it, or if the solution changes color, or becomes cloudy.

Common side effects of  Eye Drop include blurred vision, redness, irritation in the eye, sensitivity to light, and watery eyes. Do not avoid notifying your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.

Always wash your hands and do not touch the end of the dropper, as this could infect your eye. It is generally safe to use Eye Drop with no common side effects. Let your doctor know if you experience any mild burning or irritation of your eyes.

Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires clear vision until you are sure you can do it safely. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or if the side effects bother you. People with narrow-angle glaucoma should not use this medicine.

Uses of 0.18% Eye Drop

• Treatment of Dry eyes

Ciplox Eye Ointment is an antibiotic, used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye. It relieves the symptoms of the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms.

Ciplox Eye Ointment is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Ciplox Eye Ointment may cause a burning sensation in the eyes and eye discomfort immediately following application. However, these side effects are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Do not wear contact lenses while using Ciplox Eye Ointment.

Atropine Sulphate 1% Eye Ointment is used to treat myopia and inflammation in the eyes (uveitis or iritis). It is also used for the eye examination and diagnose eye problems like blurred vision or squint in children.

Always wash your hands before using Atropine Sulphate 1% Eye Ointment. Use only the number of drops that your doctor has prescribed. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using the drops and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. If you are also using another eye medicine, wait for at least 10 minutes before using it. Read the leaflet that comes with the medicine for a full guide on how to use the drops and get the most benefit. Do not touch the tip of the dropper or bottle. This may lead to infection. You should use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit and it is best done at the same time each day. If you want to stop using it, consult your doctor first.

The most common side effects are irritation or pain in the eye, watery or dry eyes, blurred vision, increased heart rate, and blood pressure. There are other, less common, side effects affecting other parts of the body, some of which may be serious. Read the leaflet that comes with the medicine and consult your doctor if you are bothered by any side effects. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm belongs to the class of 'antivirals' used to treat eye/ocular herpes and herpes simplex keratitis. Eye/ocular herpes is an eye infection caused by the herpes simplex virus. Herpes simplex keratitis is an eye infection caused when the herpes simplex virus affects the cornea (clear front surface of the eye).

Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm contains Aciclovir, which works by killing and stopping the growth of the herpes simplex virus on the cornea. Thereby treats eye/ocular herpes and herpes simplex keratitis

Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm is for ophthalmic (for the eye) use only. Common side effects of Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm include eye irritation, burning or a stinging sensation at the application site, temporary blurred vision, sensitivity to the light, swollen and runny eyes, inflammation of the eyelids, and foreign body sensation. These side effects may not occur in every patient using Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm and gradually resolve over time if they occur. If the side effects persist longer or worsen, please seek a doctor's advice.

Let your doctor know if you are allergic to any medications. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before starting Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm. Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm may cause temporary blurred vision; hence drive only when you are alert and have clear vision. Avoid contact of the tip of the dispensing container with the eye, eyelids, fingers, and other surfaces to prevent contamination. Acivir Eye Ointment 5 gm should be used in children only when advised by a doctor. 

CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B belongs to a combination of medicines called 'antibiotics' primarily used to treat bacterial infections of the eye (optic) and ear (otic). Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B does not work against infections caused by viruses and fungus.

CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B is a combination of two antibiotics, namely: Polymyxin B and Chloramphenicol. Polymyxin B is bactericidal, which kills the bacteria by preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls essential for their survival. Chloramphenicol is bacteriostatic, which prevents bacterial growth by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for the growth, and multiplication of the bacteria. CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B prevents the spread of eye and ear infections caused by a wide range of gram-negative bacteria causing eye/ear infections. 

Use CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is only for use in the eyes. Do not swallow or inject CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B. You are advised to use this medicine for as long as your doctor has prescribed it based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience redness, itching, irritation, burning or stinging sensation in the eyes, blurred vision, sensitivity to light, eyelid swelling, itching, or crusting as side effects. Most of these side effects of CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if any of these side effects worsen or persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B should be used with caution in children. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B. You are recommended not to use contact lenses during the course of CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B as it may worsen the infection. If you get any new eye problem, an eye infection, or notice any allergic reactions such as itching or redness of the eye and skin rash, please consult your doctor immediately. You are advised to maintain a 10 minutes time gap between using CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B and other eye drops. Please do not contact the container tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas as it may contaminate CHLORAMPHENICOL+POLYMYXIN B and cause eye infections.

Tobramycin 0.3% Eye Drop is an antibiotic medicine that is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye (e.g., conjunctivitis), eyelids (e.g., blepharitis), and ear. It may also help to prevent an infection after an eye injury or surgery.

0.3% Eye Drop stops the growth of bacteria and thereby helps to cure the underlying infection. Follow your doctor’s instructions precisely for administering this medicine. Wait for at least 5 minutes before applying any other eye or ear medication. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.

Eye Drop will not work for eye or ear infections that are not caused by bacteria (e.g., viral) and therefore, should only be used if prescribed by your doctor. Unnecessary use of any antibiotic can lead to a decrease in its effectiveness in the future.

Common side effects seen with this medicine include temporary irritation, burning sensation, itching, and redness after administration. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. It may cause some short-term blurring of vision when first used. Therefore, do not drive immediately after administering this medicine. Contact lenses should not be worn while you are using this medicine or while you have an active eye infection.
